Air cargo started the year strong.

Volumes went up 5% compared to last January. Middle East and South Asia crushed it with 16% growth. Asia Pacific was up 8%. North America grew 7%.

Prices are already sliding though. After the holiday rush, the global air freight index dropped 3.3% in a week. It’s down 3.6% from last year too. Shanghai and Hong Kong took the biggest hits.
