Does anyone have an understanding of what cannabis being rescheduled mean?

From just researching online i wasn't able to find much so i figured i would ask here and see if anyone with knowledge could speak on the topic.

it looks like recreational use will still be illegal

we COULD now get federal money for more research so cannabis could start looking more like a normal med that you can pick up at Walmart in the pharmacy.

ChatGPT found an interesting one for me and that is now cannabis businesses can claim normal expenses so they should be much better off regarding taxes.

Even though we aren't federally legal yet, this is a solid step forward imo. If you have any other information or something that i said is wrong, please tell me!
