Super Silver Haze clone I got from Get Seeds Right Here
The only other haze I can really compare it to is Kiwi Seeds’ Mako Haze. That one leaned heavier into the classic haze profile, but both shared that incense note, noticeable in the cured buds and lingering in the smoke. I get intense shoe polish terps when its cured.
I’m curious if anyone running indoor setups is mixing their own medium, similar to Pro-Mix but built in-house with higher quality inputs. Specifically looking for insight on using manures like chicken, donkey, horse, cow, or goat as part of a haze-friendly feeding approach, and which methods actually work best.
What’s been working well for me is planting in old coffee burlap bags set inside food-safe, BPA-free five-gallon blue jugs from our local co-op’s reverse osmosis system. I cut the tops off, fill the burlap with about 20 to 30 quarts of medium, then poke drainage holes every four inches or so from mid-level down. I let the containers soak in a refrigerator crisper drawer I salvaged, usually adding about half a gallon of pH-adjusted water that’s off-gassed municipal. I let them sit until the medium fully wicks it up.
I used to run Smart Pots and top-water, but I kept fighting dry spots. This little MacGyver setup solved that, and I haven’t had issues since.
