Conservative Party faces significant financial loss after convention voting devices go missing
The Conservative Party of Canada is facing significant financial loss after several pricey voting devices went missing following their convention in Calgary. The party's former executive director, Wayne Benson, has urged delegates to return the LUMI Connector Keypads and Smart Cards, valued at close to $1,000.00 each, to avoid incurring unexpected costs. The devices, supplied by Lumi Global, were used to register votes on policy changes during the convention. If the missing devices are not returned, the Conservatives are on the hook for replacement costs.
Pricy keypads were not to be taken home as "souvenirs": party organizer.
