2-time NL manager of the year Pat Murphy agrees to contract extension with Brewers
Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy has agreed to a multi-year contract extension after leading the team to division titles and being named NL Manager of the Year for each of his first two seasons. Murphy, who took over as manager after Craig Counsell's contract expired, has a 190-134 record with the Brewers and has helped the team outperform preseason forecasts. The Brewers didn't disclose the terms of the extension, but reports suggest it is a three-year deal with a club option for 2029.
