This was purchased as a backup bass (#1 is a Mustang, hanging in the background). I liked the feel of it, but the pickups were garbage. Way too hot. But I threw in the original P set from the Mustang, and now it sounds great. I forgot how good a standard P bass sounds.
Sanded down all the frets, got them all leveled and recrowned. Swapped out the pickup and preamp, built a new bridge out of parts from four bridges. Replaced the tuning machines, and since I had it all taken apart, I replace the logos on the headstock. It a total Frankenstein bas
