Hiking in polar areas
Most hikes out of Longyearbyen in northernmost Norway are short, but they are always slightly more risky than elsewhere. One thing is that you need to know how to behave in an extremely cold climate. The other thing is the chance of encountering a polar bear. So, wear good clothes and carry a rifle if you're walking anywhere more than sprinting distance from the nearest building or lockable vehicle. :)
