Hanakapi’ai Valley, a side quest when on the Kalalau Trail on Kauai

Hiking the full Kalalu Trail requires a hiking permit which can be hard to get, but you can do the walk to this waterfall as a day trip whenever you feel like it. The trail often is very muddy and slippery, though.
