Red-bellied black snake hitches a ride on ute
A driver on the Sunshine Coast in Australia encountered a red-bellied black snake on his car bonnet while driving at 110km/h on the Bruce Hwy. The snake, estimated to be 2m long, clung to the car for about 5km before disappearing into the engine bay. The driver slowed down to avoid harming the snake and stopped at a McDonald’s to try and locate it but couldn’t find it.
Mark Emsden spotted a red-bellied black snake on his bonnet as he drove at 110km/h.
