Head-on crash leaves two dead after ute driven on wrong side of road

A head-on collision on the Mitchell Freeway in Butler, Perth, resulted in the deaths of a 56-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man. The crash occurred when a man drove a white utility vehicle on the wrong side of the freeway, colliding with two hatchbacks. The woman died at the scene, and the man died later in the hospital. Two other people in the other hatchback sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The incident follows another fatal head-on crash on the same stretch of the freeway in October.
