Telstra to axe up to 650 roles, jobs to be outsourced to India
Telstra plans to cut up to 650 roles, with some jobs being outsourced to India-based technology company Infosys. CEO Vicki Brady cites the need to reduce complexity and improve competitiveness as the reasons behind the proposed changes. Affected employees have the option to apply for roles with Infosys or face redundancy. The company also plans to enhance its Connected Future 30 strategy by integrating more AI and simplifying customer experiences.
CEO Vicki Brady says about 440 jobs will be cut if Telstra proceeds with outsourcing some work to India.
