Spotify credits its internal AI system Honk and third-party AI model Claude Code for speeding up development, with its best developers not having written a single line of code since December. Honk allows for remote, real-time code deployment using generative AI, speeding up coding and deployment tremendously. Spotify has shipped over 50 new features in 2025 and recently launched AI-powered features like Prompted Playlists, Page Match for audiobooks, and About This Song.
