This article explores the concept of 'Natürlichekunst,' or Natural Art, and questions why natural objects are rarely displayed with the same aesthetic consideration as human-made art in Western culture. It discusses the history and cultural significance of natural art in Eastern cultures, particularly in China, Japan, and Korea, and contrasts it with the Western approach to collecting natural objects. The author reflects on their personal experience with natural art and invites readers to join the conversation on the topic.
