Potential delay in release of "New Siri"
I sure hope this isn't the case. I know Apple wants / needs to "get it right," but Siri is so far from "right" right now that it's virtually unusable. I don't know how much longer I can stand having respond "I found some results on your phone!" when I ask it to pause music. 🤣
Apple is delaying the introduction of Gemini-powered Siri features, which were expected to debut in iOS 26.4, due to internal challenges. These features, which include expanded personal data access and voice-based in-app actions, may now be pushed to iOS 26.5 or later, potentially extending into iOS 27. Originally announced in June 2024, these enhancements aim to make Siri more capable and akin to a chatbot.
