I turned The Swift Programming Language into a print textbook!
About a month ago, I came across an online mention of Peter Friese who turned the official Swift language documentation into a typeset PDF.
When I saw that, I got soo excited. I tend to learn better when I can flip back-and-forth between pages of technical content, so I immediately thought how about nice it would be to have this printed and in my physical hands.
So I did just that! I quickly whipped up a basic cover for the book and had it printed and bound. The book in my hands is version 6.2.3 of the Swift language. In the end, this was such a fun project!
I'm really grateful someone took the time to make it into a PDF. Huge shoutout to Peter Friese and the Swift lang community for making this possible.
By the way, if you are a developer and so inclined, I run and am hoping to post more there soon! I think Digg could be a really fun and rewarding space to learn and share. It's not so big as to be intimidating, and I think we can make it something great. Come join us!!
I was really excited to share this and couldn't decide where to post it. I decided to go with since it felt most appropriate for discoverability. Happy to answer any questions or hear any thoughts :)
