Poll from January 25 puts support for Alberta independence at 30%
A recent Ipsos poll reveals that while 29% of Albertans and 31% of Quebecers would vote for their province's independence, only half are truly committed to the idea. The poll found that when faced with potential economic and social costs, support for separation dropped significantly to 15-16% in both provinces. The poll also identified three types of separatists in Alberta: committed, conditional, and symbolic, with the most committed group making up 56% of those who would vote for independence.
Only half committed lines up with what I’ve experienced in person interactions. I believe a lot are doing this out of the hope that Ottawa gives some concessions
