Finding a Technical Co-Pilot for Sales Calls (Fractional)
I’m looking for a senior engineer to join prospect calls as a fractional technical sales partner—someone who can quickly learn the product, translate architecture decisions for CTOs/engineering leads, and help close deals.
What you’d do
Join 2–3 prospect calls/month to start
Do light async prep between calls (I’ll provide context, docs, and a walkthrough)
Explain and defend architecture choices + tradeoffs
Help prospects feel confident the technical foundation is real (because it is)
Who this is for
~8+ years in software/architecture (or equivalent depth)
Strong communicator (can make complex systems simple)
Familiar with AI/LLM/agentic workflows (or can ramp fast)
Comfortable being client-facing (solutions/pre-sales experience is a plus)
Comp options (flexible)
Per-call + close bonus: ~$300/call + 15% of closed deal (recommended to start)
Rev-share per deal: 10–20% of each closed contract
Monthly retainer + bonus: $2–3K/mo + 10% of closes
Equity: small % for a long-term, all-in partner
Recommended starting point: per-call fee + close bonus so we can prove the relationship works before committing further.
