im very ASI pilled right now, so naturally I think about nuclear war
and I just thought it's a very convenient strategic fact that all of the largest US datacenters are far away from the nuclear silos
but it's not a coincidence. the silos were built in remote locations where very few people live, which means little to no infrastructure, and that makes it unattractive for datacenters
but it probably doesn't matter with the amount of nukes that china has
I think a good heuristic is: if we ever start building datacenters deep inside mountains the world is probably doomed
