NYT tech correspondent Mike Isaac rejects universal tool adoption, stating he uses no new technology for routine 30-year-old workflows
Kevin Roose questioned if Isaac still transcribes interviews manually.
yeah i'm not defending AI use in the writing part of writing, but there is so much else involved in the job (like transcription, research, fact-checking, etc.) that i'm genuinely fascinated by the holdouts who refuse to touch AI at all.
like...i spent years transcribing my own shit and pulling clips from LexisNexis. it sucked!
@kevinroose i take your greater point though. and i am not saying "butlerian jihad now" b/c AI is not new and has been around in many forms forever i buck against universals though, specifically in the writing part of writing. someone saying "everyone does it" usually means "i do it"
