Yishan Wong Questions If AI Can Compose Soulful Music

Yishan Wong, who founded Terraformation after serving as CEO of Reddit, posted a question about whether AI can compose music. He referred to an earlier post in which he described a piece as lacking any soul. Commenters criticized his use of that term. Wong said soul remained the best word available to him for the quality he found missing. He noted he had considered other ways to express the same idea. The post stands as his direct statement on the limits of current AI output in music.
