Engineer Says AI Inference Still Needs Human Expertise

Florian Brand, research engineer at Prime Intellect, replied to @DimitrisPapail that inference and efficient deployments are not yet automated. He stated that prompting agents without knowledge from the inference team would cause serious damage to GPUs. In a second reply, Brand compared current student use of LLMs to pre-LLM arithmetic and coding classes, noting he was taught without helpers and told not to look up leetcode solutions.
