A user says a scam caller sounded like their wife—who was home with them
The user says the caller wanted a credit card to pay for gas, even though their wife drives a Tesla. They suspect a voice deepfake or filter.
TLDR
A user reports receiving a call from someone who sounded like their wife, saying she’d forgotten her wallet and needed a credit card to pay for gas. Two details exposed the scam, according to the user: their wife was home with them and drives a Tesla. They described the voice as a convincing match with a “weird cadence,” suspected a voice deepfake or filter, and urged families to set up verbal passwords.
