Apple alleges OpenAI and its hardware chief built part of their device push through former employees and confidential Apple material.
Apple has sued OpenAI, alleging in claims first surfaced by Mark Gurman and echoed by Bloomberg, that OpenAI and hardware chief Tang Tan coordinated trade secret theft to speed work on consumer AI devices. Apple also claims OpenAI has hired about 400 Apple employees and asked some candidates to bring product information, drawings and even components to interviews or into the company, according to Gurman's follow-up posts on X and X.
