Google announces Antigravity 2.0 at its I/O keynote, introducing a desktop application powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash that features an agent able to spawn subagents and construct operating systems
Gemini 3.5 Flash reaches 800 tokens per second inside the app.
so, do i use gemini-cli or antigravity-cli?

I don't have much to say about this year's Google I/O because I prefer to write about products that have shipped, not just "coming soon" announcements - but here are some notes on Gemini Spark and Antigravity https://simonwillison.net/2026/May/20/google-io/
Anyone understand what Google mean by "Gemini Spark runs on Gemini 3.5 and uses the Antigravity harness" - is "Antigravity" a generic term they're using for their agent harnesses now or is their Claw-competitor running the same closed-source Go binary we can download ourselves?
That sentence quoted from: https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/products/gemini-app/next-evolution-gemini-app/

The new Gemini CLI harness, antigravity, is written in Golang

curl -fsSL https://antigravity.google/cli/install.sh | bash

Very excited by the new suite of Antigravity products - in particularly can’t wait to see what folks build with our new SDK!

Antigravity + Gemini == 🔥🔥🔥
@simonw It uses the same Harness as inside the Antigravity products. This must not mean it is the same agent.

@simonw Would love to hear your feedback on
Just got off stage at I/O and we launched a lot but very excited to bring you all Antigravity 2.0 powered by Gemini 3.5 Flash. AGY 2.0 is our new app with a more powerful agent that can spin up subagents and even build an OS. 3.5 Flash is also more powerful than 3.1 Pro and runs at 800 tokens per second only on Antigravity.
This is a new way to build! Hope you all enjoy.

19/ Managed Agents in Gemini API is big.
Single API call → spin up an agent that reasons, uses tools, executes code in an isolated Linux environment.
Persistent environments, resumable state/files, custom instructions + markdown skills.
Yes, markdown skills. We are so back.
18/ Developer story: Antigravity is the center. New Antigravity 2.0 desktop app, CLI, SDK, Enterprise Agent Platform integration, scheduled tasks, dynamic subagents, and integrations across AI Studio, Android, Firebase.
We've optimized Gemini Flash to be 12x faster inside Antigravity.
Google literally said "your margin is my opportunity" 😂
12x faster!?
It's incredible to see how strongly Google coalesces around @antigravity! @_mohansolo is the 3rd person on the main keynote after Sundar and Demis! Antigravity 2.0 is expanding the agentic power, announcing a new SDK and CLI tools and Native voice support!
