Koyal launches open speech-recognition models for Indian languages
Adalat AI says Koyal aims to reduce the cleanup needed before transcripts can become notes, forms or other documents, including fixes for missing punctuation and numbers written out as words.

Adalat AI announced Koyal on September 29 as a family of open speech-recognition models released in partnership with NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 ASR. It lists four 120-million-parameter monolingual models for Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu, plus a 600-million-parameter multilingual streaming model. Adalat AI says the models are designed to address transcription formatting that otherwise requires extra processing.
