    TLDR

Johns Hopkins researchers introduce PowerSim as a way to interact with objects in captured 3D scenes and render their motion, deformation and changing appearance. Their paper says it can also update reflections as objects deform. The project site notes a limitation: moving a telephone handset can reveal gaps and visual artifacts in poorly reconstructed areas.
