Evo 2 reportedly generates biological sequences with similar functions from a few examples

A researcher on the team says Evo 2 showed an unexpected form of in-context learning: a handful of sequences with a shared function could steer it to generate new sequences with similar functions. The team also reports computational design of natural proteins, de novo antibodies, protein-RNA systems and complete bacteriophage genomes. It released a new inference stack as part of the work.
