Nico Rosberg reportedly tried Tesla’s supervised FSD in a Cybertruck in San Francisco

In an Oct. 30 report, EVwire’s Simon Alvarez writes that 2016 Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg rode around San Francisco in a Tesla Cybertruck running Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised. EVwire says the rides took place amid a week of founder meetings for his investment firm, Rosberg Ventures.

EVwire reports that Rosberg called the experience “life-changing.” Quoting an account it attributes to Rosberg’s LinkedIn post, the outlet says he felt as though he had “won back half a working day!!” That was his impression of the time gained, not a measured saving. EVwire also reports that Rosberg felt the commutes let him arrive at meetings focused rather than drained.

Rosberg credited Waymo with leading on fully driverless rides and urged Europe to move faster on the technology, according to EVwire. The Cybertruck system EVwire describes was FSD Supervised, not a fully driverless service.
