@traestephens @WIRED We used to have serious journalists covering tech but now it feels like the high school gossip kings and queens are trying to extend their reign of popularity by writing tabloid like articles
@xlr8harder Anti-AI opportunism and clicks over integrity it is. There is always room for some innuendo - absolutely welcome. Framing a robotics lab as a sex toy manufacturer - not so much. That mag - sign me up.
@pitdesi 💯 no one in SV cares about criticism (sometimes we deserve it tbh) we care about the volume of lies.
@traestephens @WIRED Ya… that was the point. Thx Trae
Critics suggest the negative coverage creates space for optimistic tech outlets.

@owl_posting You’re a very good writer
@AlexFinn 💯
For those defending Wired… I spoke to them for a story last year. They twisted my words and made up something that was not true and extremely upsetting about my family. I asked them to delete the untruth… they responded days later after multiple follow ups saying it had to go through their fact checkers. The false story never got deleted. The whole notion of going through fact checkers is insane because it was something only me and my wife could possibly know. They never deleted because the untruth fit their narrative of a Silicon Valley VC
You know I love you Josie, but this is a bad take. Haha. The problem isn’t negative press, it’s tabloid gossip masquerading as a credible tech publication, which @WIRED used to be. It’s not “criticism”, it’s a story about robot finger sexy time. This is not serious. https://twitter.com/josiezayner/status/2076360481263046726
WIRED has long ago been captured by the Neo-Luddite community. They and just about most of the traditional tech press have and will betray confidence and will try to act like they are journalists “reporting”. This is not your dad’s WIRED magazine. https://twitter.com/radbackwards/status/2076022602955686063
It's been said before: They should make a magazine that's like Wired but actually likes technology. https://twitter.com/radbackwards/status/2076022602955686063
@micsolana PSA: friends warn friends about WIRED, the tech news zombie https://twitter.com/futurejurvetson/status/2038344465405137289
Or at least give your story to someone who will do it justice like @ashleevance!
