Warren Urges Congress To Act Immediately On AI Job Disruptions

2006461531546K

The AI moment means we have to step up.

We can't wait a few more years to see how many people get laid off, how many lives get turned upside down.

This is the moment for Congress to take action.

Comrade Warren is right.

We cannot simply sit back and let AI disrupt the workforce and lead to excessive efficiency and production.

This is the moment for Congress to step in and slow things down.

If we wait too long, people might actually become more productive, more independent, and require less assistance from the government.

We must act now, before too many lives improve on their own.

The 5 year plan is perfect. ☭

@ewarren What is AI? Can you define it? What does it do?

Maybe the real fear is not AI taking American jobs.

Maybe the fear is AI helping independent Americans expose bad laws, bad spending, bad policy, and career politicians who have made government too expensive, too complicated, and too disconnected from the people paying for it.

Workers need protection from abuse. That is true.

But Congress also needs competition, transparency, and accountability. AI gives regular people tools that used to belong only to big media, big law firms, big donors, and political machines.

Maybe that is what really scares Washington. FULL MOON AT NOON BABY

@ewarren Love the urgency... here's one concrete fix: a federal transition fund ... wage insurance, taxpayer-funded retraining, and portable benefits for displaced workers, with independent oversight. who's leading the bill in Congress? lol

@ewarren AI is in a bubble but congress involved is the last thing we need. Especially populists who will brand a whole technology bad to get likes.

@ewarren You know next to nothing about how AI actually works, what it is good at and what it isn't, so why would anyone trust you to regulate it?

@ewarren so the body being asked to regulate AI doesn't have the tools to even measure what AI is doing to the workforce. they're flying blind and calling it oversight

@ewarren Technology moves fast, but policy usually moves slowly. The challenge is protecting workers without slowing down innovation that could benefit millions.

@ewarren @grok would you trust a person if they pretend to be someone they are not for 80 years? For example, if a person pretend to be Cherokee Indian and they were absolutely not?
