Claude Duet research preview starts with a waitlist for US Pro and Max subscribers

Claude announced a research preview of Claude Duet on Oct. 21, 2026. Claude says the new app is meant to come to users with work that needs their attention, rather than wait for them to open a chat. At launch, Claude said US Pro and Max subscribers could join a waitlist and would receive an email when Duet was ready for them. Team and Enterprise plans were not included in the preview.

Claude describes Duet as a standalone app for iOS and Android that users can also open at claude.ai. It is included in Pro and Max plans during the preview, subject to the waitlist. According to , Duet carries over a user’s Claude memory, skills and connected apps. Claude says it can send a short morning brief, take on tasks such as scheduling meetings or building dashboards, and keep working on its cloud virtual machine while the user’s phone or laptop is off.
