Echo-3 launches to reconstruct real spaces from iPhone video

Echo-3's creators announced the world model on October 27, saying it can turn a short iPhone video into photorealistic 3D reconstructions, including point clouds and meshes. They say its API also accepts photos or videos. In separate demonstrations, users reported turning a house into a walk-through 3D world in 10 minutes and scanning an apartment in under five.
