Holon-S1 aims to predict genes and biomarkers from routine pathology slides

The team behind Holon-S1 says the platform predicts genes and biomarkers from routine pathology slides. It says Holon-S1 has identified potentially novel biomarkers in breast and colon cancer and was evaluated across 16 organ types and more than 15 scanners, using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded and fresh-frozen tissue. The team hopes it could help researchers find treatment targets and move toward more personalized cancer care.
