    TLDR

A user argues that “launch quickly and often” can leave lasting bad impressions. They recount OpenClaw’s founder saying people who tried an early version can be hard to win back, even after improvements. The user says they’re still hesitant to use Stanley Studio, an AI video editor they tried early on, despite finding it significantly better now.

dennis@lifegetsdiceyI’ve heard the advice “launch quickly and often” so much but here’s the argument against doing so: I’m at a fireside chat with Openclaw founder @steipete where he talked about how hard it is to win people over who had a bad experience with an early version of OpenClaw, no matter how much better the current version is, highlighting the importance of having some bar of quality when you launch This is because first impressions are extremely lasting and we as humans like to be able to stand by our opinions Personal example: I’m good friends with many people on the @stanforcreators team but I’m very hesitant on using their AI video editor Stanley Studio because I tried using the product very early on and it lacked so much functionality back then It’s significantly better now but I still choose to edit my videos by hand Would love thoughts on this2h
