OpenAI Releases Codex Harness for Custom Agents

OpenAI's developer account posted about an open-source Codex harness. The account stated that applications retain control over the interface, context, tools, and approvals while the harness manages the agent loop. Greg Brockman added that Codex can power uses beyond coding tools, including a tax-prep pilot that processed 7,000 returns and cut preparation time by about a third. The post points to a blog titled Codex as a platform and invites builders to create products on the harness.
