In an Oct. 20, 2026 post, tester rahiltrips shared an account reporting that DreamLabs' Dream-1 (dream-1-beta) put an apple in a bowl in 17 of 20 runs with two simulated I2RT YAM arms. The tester counted zero collisions and a 27.8-second median completion time.
The tester counted 17 grasps, all in successful runs. In each failure, the apple stayed where it started as Dream-1 continued for the full 60-second limit. The tester's account describes episode 6 as an arm hovering at the apple without lifting it. The tester had not reviewed the other two videos frame by frame.
A fixed layout and a paused clock
The test used YAM arms in MuJoCo, one fixed layout, no distractors or randomization, and 20 episodes on a single seed. The success check was the testers' own, not DreamLabs'. They put the 95% confidence interval for the 17-in-20 result at 62% to 97%, noting that 20 episodes are a small sample.
Simulated time paused during API calls, so those calls did not consume task time. Across 270 requests, the testers measured a 624-millisecond median round trip. They estimated that blocking on every request on a real arm would add 7 to 10 seconds of standing still per task. That is a projection, not a measured hardware result; the testers list real-hardware runs among their next steps.
