TLDR

A user lists AI data centers, France’s possible effect on the euro, Social Security, housing supply and post-Trump politics as developments they’re watching. They ask whether the internet and AI help people recognize bad economic ideas, or whether tailored social feeds keep opposing views out of sight.

Tweets from Zach Weinberg@zachweinbergThings I find fascinating to watch: - Largest infra build out in the history of humanity (AI datacenters) - France may cause the end of the Euro because they have no growth but spend like a drunken sailor - People slowly realizing US social security is a ponzi scheme (since old ppl take out more than they put in and we don't have population growth to support it), reckoning coming in 2032) - Dems finally realizing that unlocking supply (at least in housing) is the only way to reduce cost of living, but it's in conflict with "business is bad" culture of the fast growing socialist wing - The end of Donald Trump is near, what does the Republican party become once he's gone? Can we get back to moderates? - BAD ECONOMIC IDEAS ARE EVERYWHERE - does the internet and AI help us realize these ideas are bad? Or is social media so tailored to our interests that people never see conflicting information to their beliefs?38m
