    Notion introduces Skills API for ChatGPT, Claude and other agents

    Notion says teams can edit skills in Notion and use them across agents. Vercel says its skills CLI can install Notion-hosted skills into coding agents without a Git repository.

    TLDR

    Notion announced its Skills API, saying teams can edit their skills in Notion and use them in ChatGPT, Claude and all their agents. Vercel says its skills command-line tool supports installing those skills with npx skills add <notion-url>, without a Git repository.

    One user who had created Claude skills welcomed the approach, saying the hard part wasn’t writing skills—it was sharing them with teammates without making everyone learn GitHub just to tweak one.

    Altr@altrhorizoni’ve already made a few Claude skills on my own, and the hard part was never writing them, but sharing them with my team without making everyone learn github just to be able to tweak a skill. being able to keep the skills in Notion, edit them together, and then use them in Claude & other agents is huge! that’s exactly how i actually want to collaborate on a shared project. one place we can all improve the skill, then the agents just pick up the latest version! 🤝20d

    Varun Rau@varunrauthe best part of this launch is that this api is 100% compliant with the agent skills spec these skills are not just markdown! you can put code, reference files, images, spreadsheets, and anything else that might tailor your agents better for their task. ...which means that notion now has a new folder primitive that you can use to manage your accompanying files. this will hopefully be a useful new feature for you that you can use for skills and so much more!20d
