I’ve never done dmt so this is more me pointing to a region of awareness latent space rather than specifics. we currently render say kilovoxels of experience day to day moment to moment, and i expect gigavoxels relatively soon. I expect life to get a lot bigger. intelligence too

imo i don’t think the right model of the future is humans doing human stuff while ais go explore the stars or whatever. stars don’t matter but for compute and energy, consciousness matters, and future will be more about experience and explanatory knowledge, evolve together, fast
I think shaping consciousness will be far easier than it sounds. we’re missing theory, we don’t know how to do it, I have some broad hunches, but I think when we figure out the physics the eng will be simple. like how controlling fluid or electrical flow in a pipeline is simple

I think simulating sub universes will happen sooner than basically anyone else does. bc it’s leveraging our awareness we don’t need to invent a lot, just shape experience, attach to a simulator, we could build the latter today. one big hop away imo, could be sub 5yrs

though it may not feel fast bc time-experience and time can be unlinked, even as humans you can slow time 10x with meditations. I think the two will be unlinked, so it won’t necessarily feel like endless unmanageable takeoff forever. could be wrong but this is my guess

so when I read things like “I have crazy ai beliefs, there will be a permanent underclass” I’m a little underwhelmed. I think things will be a little bit more than that, economics good or bad will not be the main event. I’m not totally sure there will be individuals
