@davidmanheim I'm of course more optimistic. But it is interesting that claiming AI is normal technology usually means implicitly assuming it is not going to be very impactful on society.

@anderssandberg Agreed - I'm not entirely convinced it goes badly for a long time. As I say near the end, the window could be brief, or I could be wrong for other reasons.

But it seems like almost all e/acc boosterism and most industry planning for the long term is effectively ASI denialism.
