After complaining that reaching Dot took extra steps, a user says an OpenAI product lead told them to long-press Dot's avatar at the top of the ChatGPT app to make Dot the start screen. The user says it worked. A reply on X also recommends an iPhone widget.

@firstadopterWhen I complained to an OpenAI product lead last night why there isn't a separate Dot app and I have to do manual additional high friction steps to get to Dot, he told me you can long press the Dot avatar at the top and set Dot as your start screen whenever you open the ChatGPT app. It works!
