Yujia Li wraps up 10 years at Google DeepMind

Yujia Li said on October 28 that they were wrapping up 10 years at Google DeepMind. They recalled receiving a job offer in 2016, shortly before AlphaGo beat Lee Sedol, and later working on graph neural nets, program synthesis, AlphaCode and Gemini. Li said they are cautiously optimistic about AI’s future, despite concerns about its challenges, and plan to take a break while thinking about what comes next.
