So Skills are just folders of instructions, scripts, and resources that Claude loads dynamically to improve performance on specialized tasks.
A skill can package prompts + tools (APIs, files, Model Context Protocol servers, etc.) into a reusable workflow with a name/description (and usually some YAML config). Then you just invoke it in chat like: “Run Document Suite on this draft” or “Use Webapp Testing on /login”.
