Public First Action contributes 500000 to Abundant Future

Public First Action gave 500000 dollars to the Abundant Future super PAC. The money supports state Senator Scott Wiener against Saikat Chakrabarti in California's 11th congressional district. Abundant Future has already spent more than 500000 dollars opposing Chakrabarti. The transaction belongs to wider AI industry political spending that also includes Think Big PAC outlays in New York and Oregon plus Defending Our Values PAC activity in Texas.

Incredible admission here from this Andreessen/OpenAI Super PAC: If you're an AI safety champion and Think Big comes for you, it will inspire so much backlash that will you net support for your campaign. Politicians should take note: AI safety is good policy and good politics!
