The bottleneck is understanding as @karpathy has also stated. The tools (microscopes, sextants, ultrasound, x-ray machines, AC generators, laptops, calculators, planes, radio, ChatGPT, cars, GPS, AI coders, …) change us. Our minds are extended by the tools, not weakened.
