Akari Asai Presents DR Tulu Research at VLDB

Connor Shorten posted about Akari Asai's VLDB talk on DR Tulu and AgentIR. The post states that DR Tulu trains deep research agents using rubrics to select BM25 or vector search retrievers. It adds that AgentIR offers an approach to train an embedding model for the agent's interface. John Hwang replied that basic Deep Research appeared cutting edge in early 2025.
