    TLDR

One post argues that adversarial pressure from parts of the AI safety community pushes alignment researchers to leave OpenAI, while acknowledging that some critics’ arguments have merit. It urges critics to stop what it calls “psychologically tormenting” OpenAI workers. An OpenAI staffer offers a contrasting view: the company should accept strong critiques, even when they are more adversarial than necessary, because releasing technology they describe as world-changing carries great responsibility.

@boazbaraktcsI love Josh but I think we at OpenAI should be OK with strong critiques, even if they are sometimes more adversarial than they need to be. We are unleashing a technology that is truly changing the world, and to quote spiderman, with great power comes great responsibility.
