Autonomous researcher credited with new AI model “mind-reading” method

Aster AI Labs says it is automating mechanistic interpretability research to develop better tools for understanding AI models. It describes the full-context natural language autoencoder as a “mind-reading” method created by an autonomous researcher capable of working through the entire discovery process. The group argues that tools for understanding models are not keeping pace with progress toward self-improving superintelligence.
