Most (all?) diseases are downstream from a fundamental cause, none of which allopathic medicine addresses.

While this new scanner seems like a wondrous breakthrough, I wonder if it is just a sales funnel into the assembly line financial/physical/psychological slaughterhouse.

Modern medicine thinks food is mostly irrelevant (except for telling you to avoid what we evolved on).

Modern medicine doctors don't have a clue about cellular energy, let alone deuterium poisoning.

Scanners ain't gonna fix that.

Scanners ===> scalpels and scrips.

@krishnanrohit Rohit, if the USS can get a diagnosis from imaging alone then I don’t think any doctor would doubt its utility. The problem is that it will show a random nodule/cyst somewhere, which then locks them in to anxiety and ++ monitoring scans ($$) or risky invasive biopsy (can harm)

@krishnanrohit That optimal point certainly changes w/ advancements across several variables, but to be hyperbolic about it, even at max techno-optimist capability, we aren't going to get anatomical scans every hour. That's negative utility merely from the time aspect. More not *always* better

We need to know its benefits and limitations, evidenced with receipts. We need to know how this will be governed because it can and will break the medical industry if released without care for consequence (as tech bros are known for doing)

@RyanMorey They're welcome not to. This is a considered belief and it will take more than a "type 1 and 2 errors exist" comment for me to change my mind.

Not all opinions are malleable, nor should they be.

Even assuming all the problems with patients suddenly asking for procedures and biopsies that could harm them, I simply do not understand why you don't want to get more information so *you* can guide the patients better. Do you not think you'll ever learn more? Or only w/o data?

@krishnanrohit Remove yourself from the equation, imagine you're now someone who is not good at critical thinking and even worse at ignoring red herrings and rationalizing complex findings

If it is really that difficult to make judgments based on more information, why don't you start doing less tests? Or throw out certain results randomly to see if it improves accuracy? Or is the contention that we are at the perfect point where no additional information is needed.

@krishnanrohit The medical industry has learned the wrong lessons from previous screening tech crazes. An initial, and expected, trend of false positives should improve downstream precision and likelihood functions. Just embrace it.
