Oxford Launches BOLD Lab for Open AI Research

Jakob Foerster posted that the first BOLD Festival was hosted in Oxford, bringing together 350 researchers, innovators, industry partners, VCs and policymakers. The post states that annual BOLD Festivals are core to efforts of strengthening the open-source AI ecosystem in the UK and Europe. The University of Oxford announcement describes the launch of the British Open-ended Learning and Discovery Lab as a new national AI research programme now recruiting partners and fellows. Andreas Kirsch replied on X that he is excited to see the momentum behind it.
